History
New Hope Baptist Church was founded by a group of eighteen believers in August of 1983. The Southern Baptist Association chartered the church. In the early 1980's, the church purchased land in Nicholson, GA and built the sanctuary. The sanctuary was completed in 1984 and four years later the fellowship hall was built. The sanctuary was remodeled, including the addition of stained glass windows, in 2002. On February 6, 1985, the current pastor, Mike Stowers, was called to pastor.The church currently has 180 members and meets on Sunday morning for Sunday School at 10am and Worship Service at 11am. The Church also meets Sunday nights at 6pm as well as Wednesday night at 7pm.
